We're HEAR Week

As part of its ongoing commitment to community service, The Philadelphia Orchestra celebrates its first-ever “We’re HEAR Week”—a series of events that kick off a season of service to Philadelphia and the greater Delaware Valley region.

HEAR is the Orchestra’s portfolio of programs that promotes Health, champions music Education, eliminates barriers to Accessing the Orchestra, and maximizes impact through Research.

"We’re HEAR Week" partners Philadelphia Orchestra musicians with local hospitals, schools, and non-profit centers for master classes, public performances, music therapy sessions, instrument donations, and more. The week will include three events that are free and open to the public and more than 25 private functions with community partners across the city. The three public events include a Public Forum to discuss the results of a research project to identify arts education resources throughout the region, a chamber performance at Taller Puertorriqueño, and the Orchestra’s first-ever sensory-friendly concert featuring the full Orchestra in Verizon Hall led by Philadelphia Orchestra Assistant Conductor Kensho Watanabe.
