The Philadelphia Orchestra Announces Newly Added Concert Featuring Trey Anastasio of Phish June 23, 2020

(Philadelphia, February 26, 2020)—The Philadelphia Orchestra welcomes multifaceted performer and guitarist Trey Anastasio to Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 8:00 PM. It will be Anastasio’s first time performing with The Philadelphia Orchestra. The program will feature orchestral arrangements of Anastasio’s hit songs as well as solo performances. Edwin Outwater, who made his Philadelphia Orchestra debut with Ben Folds in March 2019, will conduct the concert. Pre-sale tickets for the event will be available on Thursday, February 27, at 10:00 AM. Single tickets will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, March 5, at 10:00 AM.

A founding member of the innovative rock band Phish, Trey Anastasio has won acclaim in rock, classical, and theatrical circles over the past three decades. He has received GRAMMY® nominations for his recordings with Phish and for his solo work. He co-wrote the music for the Broadway musical Hands on a Hardbody, which received a Tony nomination for “Best Original Score” in 2013. Anastasio has performed his original compositions with numerous symphonies.
