Performance Details

Yannick Nézet-Séguin Conductor and Piano

Mozart Piano Concerto No. 12
Price Symphony No. 4

The Orchestra’s passion for sharing the music of Florence Price continues on the Digital Stage. Her fourth, and final, Symphony, never performed during her lifetime, received accolades when it received its belated premiere in 2018. The New York Times noted: “The brio of the best Americana is present throughout the work, particularly in its rousing climax.”

Written following his arrival in Vienna, Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 12 is "very brilliant, pleasing to the ear, and natural," in the composer's own words. Listen for its melodic opulence and thrilling cadenzas. This performance includes a special treat for audiences as Yannick leads the Orchestra from the piano.

This program runs approximately 1 hour and will be performed without an intermission.

Please note: All Digital Stage events begin with a performance premiere, streaming in real time. Following the performance premiere, the concert will be available for ticket holders to watch on demand for one week.
