Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts Strauss’s An Alpine Symphony, the composer’s powerful and passionate ode to nature. The program opens with the SPAC premiere of Robert Schumann’s Konzertstück for horns and orchestra. Wholly unique in its nature, the work highlights horns as the soloist in a wild and furious score designed to showcase the unparalleled virtuosity of the Fabulous Philadelphians.
