Program Notes

Yannick conducts an engaging program celebrating 125 years of classical music label Deutsche Grammophon that includes acclaimed pianist Hélène Grimaud in the second and third movements from Ravel's jazzy Piano Concerto in G major, the extraordinary violinist María Dueñas in Tzigane by the great French composer Maurice Ravel, a rousing performance of the Finale from Igor Stravinsky’s The Firebird, and a special appearance by singer/songwriter Moby, whose orchestral arrangements of his million-selling pop classics have won critical acclaim.
