Program highlights:

  • Fantasy on Bizet’s Carmen, for violin and orchestra: A fiery exploration of Bizet's opera Carmen, as the strings dance to the beat of the Lunar New Year, awakening the dragon within.

  • Er Huang, for piano and orchestra: Haochen Zhang's virtuosity on the piano takes us on a journey through time and tradition, bridging the old and the new in a symphony of renewal.

  • Spring Festival Overture, for flute duo and orchestra: The delicate sounds of flutes, symbolizing the gentle breeze of spring, join the Orchestra in a joyous overture, heralding the arrival of the Lunar New Year.

  • Jasmine Flower: The timeless beauty of the traditional Chinese folksong Jasmine Flower resonates with the universal themes of love and hope, connecting hearts across cultures as we embrace the dragon's benevolent spirit.

Don't miss this magical night as the Orchestra ushers in the Lunar New Year with a dragon’s roar and music of hope and harmony.
