Born into a musical family in Beijing, Yuja Wang began playing the piano at age six; by 11 she was collecting international prizes for her performances; and by her early 20s—while still a student at the Curtis Institute—she was taking the stage with the likes of the New York Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, and the Chicago Symphony.
