Born into a musical family in Beijing, Yuja Wang began playing the piano at age six; by 11 she was collecting international prizes for her performances; and by her early 20swhile still a student at the Curtis Instituteshe was taking the stage with the likes of the New York Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, and the Chicago Symphony. Her stage presence is electrifying and audiences around the world flock to hear her playas in her sold-out Philadelphia Orchestra performances in last season’s Rachmaninoff 150 Celebration. Hear a “rapturously eloquent” pianist of “scintillating brilliance” (The Telegraph, London) in this one-night-only recital!
