Panel Discussion: Transitioning from School to Professional Life

On Tuesday, May 12, at 6:00 PM ET, Orchestra flutist Olivia Staton hosted a panel discussion with violinist Christine Lim, Acting Assistant Principal Bass Nathaniel West, Associate Principal Flute Patrick Williams, and horn player Ernesto Tovar Torres on transitioning from school to professional life.

Master Class with All-City Orchestra Students

On Wednesday, May 13, at 1:00 PM ET, three representatives from The Philadelphia Orchestra's All-City High School Fellowship participated in a master class with a panel of musicians from The Philadelphia Orchestra: First Associate Concertmaster Juliette Kang, Associate Principal Flute Patrick Williams, and Co-principal Trombone Matthew Vaughn. After the master class, the musicians joined the high school students in a discussion.

This event was hosted by Joseph Conyers, acting associate principal bass of The Philadelphia Orchestra and music director of the School District of Philadelphia's All-City High School Orchestra.
