Violin PlayIN with Special Guest Itzhak Perlman

The Philadelphia Orchestra invites student violinists up to 12th grade to participate in a FREE community event with violinists of The Philadelphia Orchestra. Tune up, rosin your bow, and join together with members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and special guest artist Itzhak Perlman onstage in Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center. This event is free and open to the public.

Participants are encouraged to share their experience before, during, and after the event using social media (#PhilOrchPlayIN).

What do I need to bring?

Bring your violin, your registration ticket from Eventbrite, a portable music stand, and the music provided to you via e-mail.

Where can I find music?

After registering, you will receive PDF parts e-mailed to you from HEAR@philorch.org. Please print and bring your music with you. 

Where may I store my instrument case and coat during the event?

A secured storage area will be provided for participants during the PlayIN.

When should I arrive? How long will the event last?

Registered participants are asked to arrive by 5:00 PM. Staff and volunteers will be present to direct you as needed. The event begins promptly at 5:30 PM and will last 60 minutes.

Do I need to register if I want to watch from the audience?

No, this is a free, unticketed event and seating is general admission.
