Morning Musicales, presented by The West Philadelphia Committee, was inaugurated in 1962 and has continued since then without interruption. Inspired by the late Mrs. Frederick T. van Urk, Morning Musicales provides an opportunity for excellent young performers to appear before discriminating audiences with the possibility of review by professional music critics. The series also helps to provide funds to support projects associated with The Philadelphia Orchestra. Thank you so very much for joining us on a memorable day in support of The Philadelphia Orchestra at the 23rd Annual Golf Classic. It was great to meet and reunite with so many friends.

Due to your generous support, we raised over $85,000 for The Philadelphia Orchestra. A portion of the proceeds benefits the Department of Collaborative Learning, which spearheads programs that enable the Orchestra to reach-out to thousands of students and community members each year, bringing the power of classical music to the broader community, and to the next generation of audiences.

Many thanks to each of our guests for supporting The Philadelphia Orchestra on April 6, 2014, by attending the Private Benefit Performance with Sarah Chang. It was certainly an occasion that we will never forget. It seems that everyone, including Sarah, felt the magic of that afternoon. We remain grateful that in addition to making the best music in the world, this wondrous orchestra continues to bring people together - creating new and lasting friendships. The Volunteer Committees for The Philadelphia Orchestra thank you for being a part the bi-annual Volunteer Committee Spring Event, On That Note and supporting our magnificent Orchestra! What a wonderful evening - with vibrant music, an enticing auction, and great food. Over 200 Orchestra supporters came out to World Café Live to celebrate the beginning of spring in style. We are delighted to report that we were able to raise $132,235 in gross revenue, netting $107,640 after expenses, for our Fabulous Philadelphians. You helped make it happen! We are enormously grateful for your support.

The Opening Night 2013 Concert and Gala was a truly memorable evening with a thrilling all-Tchaikovsky concert featuring vibrant Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin, virtuoso violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, and our Fabulous Philadelphians. We hope that all of our guests enjoyed the celebratory evening. We are grateful for your commitment, and send sincere thanks for your generosity and support of the 2013 Opening Night Concert and Gala as The Philadelphia Orchestra continues its tradition of musical excellence.

22nd Annual Golf Classic: June 18, 2013

 

On behalf of everyone at The Philadelphia Orchestra Association, we thank all of our golfers and sponsors for being a part of the event and helping to make this year’s event such a success! The 22nd Annual Golf Classic, held at the scenic Applebrook Golf Club in Malvern, PA, raised over $68,000 for the Orchestra this year. It is through events like the Golf Classic that we are able to continuously provide quality performances by many of the world’s finest musicians and soloists.

Perfect Harmony: April 19, 2013

 

The bi-annual Volunteer Committees Spring Event, Perfect Harmony, was held at the Acorn Club in Philadelphia, PA, last April, and raised over $120,000 for the Orchestra in gross revenue. Over 150 Orchestra supporters joined us on this special night, where they dined and rubbed elbows with their favorite Philadelphia Orchestra Musicians in a spectacular setting. Our one-of-a-kind silent and live auction included unique items and performances donated by our Fabulous Philadelphians! We are so grateful to all of our Volunteers, Board Members, and Musicians for helping to make Perfect Harmony 2013 a success.
